1. Why is the Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card called the 2-in-1 Card?'

The Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card is a 2-in-1 Card because you now have to carry only 1 Card for both traveling on the Delhi Metro Rail and for making Credit Card transactions at over 14 million establishments worldwide. This co-branded Card serves as a dual-purpose Card. The embedded chip can be used for travel in the Metro Rail and the Credit Card (magnetic stripe based) can be used at merchant establishments worldwide.

2. Can I start using my Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card immediately for travel on the Delhi Metro?
Yes, you can use your Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card for travel on Delhi Metro trains right away! To enjoy the familiar convenience of 'Tap & Go' commute on the Delhi Metro, you have to load value on to your Delhi Metro Chip. This can be done at select Metro stations. The list of stations where value can be loaded on your Card is provided below. Please approach the Customer Care Centre for this.

3. How do I load value on my Delhi Metro Chip?

You can load value on your Delhi Metro Chip at the Customer Care Centre at select Delhi Metro stations (as mentioned above). Simply hand over your Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card to the Customer Care Officer and inform him about the amount you would like to load on your Card. The Customer Care Officer will swipe your Credit Card for the same amount and load equivalent value on your Delhi Metro Chip. You can use your Delhi Metro Chip immediately for travel after this. The amount charged on your Card will reflect in your next month's Credit Card billing statement.

4. Do I need to pay any fees or service charge for loading value on my Delhi Metro Chip?

This is a complimentary service provided on this Card and no fees or charges will be applied for this facility.

5. When do I start getting the 10% discount from Delhi Metro on my Card?

You will start receiving the 10% discount on your Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card as soon as you start using your Card for travel. For example, you load Rs. 500 (or any other amount) on the Card and if the destination fare is
Rs. 10 for traveling from one point to another, you will be debited on Rs. 9 for the same journey by virtue of you being a privileged Delhi Metro Citibank.

6. How do I use my Credit Card for traveling on the Delhi Metro Rails?

The system map, ticket and fare information charts are displayed prominently when you enter the Metro station. Once you have loaded the value on your Delhi Metro Chip at the station counters per process mentioned above and decided your travel destination, proceed towards the ticket gates that display an illuminated GREEN arrow. Please hold your Card close to the area indicating space for Smart Cards. If there is sufficient balance on your Delhi Metro Chip, the gates to the left of the machine will open and you can enter the Paid Area from where you may board your train.

On exit, again hold your CARD close to area for Smart Cards on the gates illuminated in GREEN and wait for Gates to open.

7. What is the minimum amount that I need to load on my Card?

The minimum amount that you need to load on the Card for accessing the Delhi Metro is Rs. 50 or in multiples thereof.

8. What is the maximum amount that I can load on my Card?

The maximum amount that you can load on your Delhi Metro Chip is Rs. 1000. Please note that the maximum amount on your Delhi Metro Chip should not exceed Rs. 1000 at any given point.

9. Why do I need to recharge/reload my Card?

Once the value on your Delhi Metro Chip reaches below 'the maximum fare for a journey', you will not be able to access Delhi Metro using your 2-in-1 Card. You will then have to recharge or load some value on to your Delhi Metro Chip. Presently, the maximum fare for a Metro Ride is Rs. 22. Delhi Metro may change this without any prior notice. 10. Is there any limit to the number of times I can recharge/reload my Card in a month?

There is no limit to the number of times one can reload amount on the Delhi Metro Chip. But at any point of time the total amount loaded on the Delhi Metro Chip should not be more than Rs. 1000.

11. How do I know when to recharge my Card?

You will have to recharge your Delhi Metro Chip as soon as the remaining value on it drops to the maximum amount for a journey or below. The remaining value on your Delhi Metro Chip is displayed on the ticket gates every time you enter the Metro Stations. You can also find out the remaining value on your Delhi Metro Chip by flashing it against the special 'Ticket Readers' installed at Delhi Metro Customer Care Centers on all stations.

12. What should I do if my Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card is stolen or lost?

Please contact our 24-Hour CitiPhone Banking Services to report the loss of your Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card. CitiPhone Banking numbers are printed on the reverse of your Card, available on the reverse of the monthly Card statement, statements on email and also on Citibank website, www.citibank.com/india. Citibank will immediately block the Credit Card to avoid misuse anywhere outside the Delhi Metro and will replace the Credit Card with fresh Delhi Metro Chip within 4 working days. Please note that standard Card reissue charges may be levied in case of reissue of lost/stolen or damaged Cards.

Citibank will thereafter inform Delhi Metro to block your Delhi Metro Chip to avoid any misuse of the loaded value. This would take 5 working days from the date of blocking the Credit Card and would be done for all customers who have Rs. 200 or more of value stored on the chip. However, irrespective of the amount of value stored on the Delhi Metro Chip, the liability in case of misuse of the amount stored on the chip is that of the Cardmember and Citibank cannot be held liable for the same. You will be liable for any misuse on the Delhi Metro Chip value during such period and Citibank cannot be held liable for the same.

As a safety measure, we would recommend you to note down the 10-digit engraved id that is printed on the reverse of your Credit Card. You may use this number for any communication with DMRC.

13. What should I do if my Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card gets damaged or is not readable at the Metro stations?

In case your 2-in-1 Card is not readable at the Metro stations, we recommend that you call our 24-Hour CitiPhone Banking Services at the numbers given on the reverse of your Card.

Citibank will close your existing Credit Card and send a new Credit Card to you. Citibank will also send a request to DMRC to block the old Delhi Metro Chip and transfer the balance amount to your new Delhi Metro Chip. This transfer of value from the old Delhi Metro Chip to the new Metro Chip can currently be done only at the Rajiv Chowk station. The customer would have to carry the letter from Citibank sent along with the new Card to the Rajiv Chowk station, for transferring the value to the new Card.

14. What will happen to the value remaining on my Delhi Metro Chip in case my Card gets lost or is stolen?

In case of lost and stolen Cards, blocking of value stored on the chip will be done only for Cardmembers who have stored value on the chip of greater than Rs. 200. For these customers whose chip is blocked, the value remaining on the old Credit Card can be transferred to the new Card that is issued by Citibank. This transfer of value from the old Delhi Metro Chip to the new Delhi Metro Chip can currently be done only at the Rajiv Chowk station. The customer would have to carry the letter from Citibank sent along with the new Card to the Rajiv Chowk station, for transferring the value to the new Card.

Please note that irrespective of the value of the amount stored on the chip, if the amount loaded on the lost Delhi Metro Chip is misused, Citibank will not compensate the Cardmember for the same. The liability in case of misuse of the amount on the Delhi Metro Chip is that of the Cardmember and Citibank cannot be held responsible for this.

No transfer of stored value will be possible for those lost/stolen Cards where the stored value on the chip is less than Rs. 200.

15. Upon replacement of damaged Card or expiry of my Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card, what happens to the remaining stored value in my Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card?

Any value remaining on the old Credit Card can be transferred to the new Card that is issued by Citibank. This transfer of value from the old Delhi Metro Chip to the new Delhi Metro Chip can currently be done only at the Rajiv Chowk station. The customer would have to carry the letter from Citibank sent along with the new Card to the Rajiv Chowk station, for transferring the value to the new Card. The balance on the old Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card can be used till the customer receives his new Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card.

Please note that standard Card reissue charges may be levied in case of reissue of lost/stolen or damaged Cards.

16. Can I obtain a Cash Refund of the value stored in the Delhi Metro Chip?

No cash refund would be allowed on the value stored in the Delhi Metro Chip.

17. What will happen to the value on the Delhi Metro Chip in case I want to close my Credit Card?

The Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card provides many benefits and privileges to you. In the unfortunate event of you wanting to close you 2-in-1 Card, you may do so by calling CitiPhone on the numbers provided on your Credit Card reverse. All your outstanding amounts will become payable immediately and your Credit Card will be closed as per your request.

However, the value on your Delhi Metro Chip will remain usable till the time you dispose your Card and it is recommended that you utilize the remaining value on your Delhi Metro Chip within 30 days of closing your Credit Card.

18. Is there any time limit between which I need to enter/exit from a Delhi Metro station once I have entered the platform?

Incase the time gap between entering a station and exiting from a station is more than the maximum permissible time limit set by DMRC, a penalty at the rate of Rs. 10 per hour is chargeable. The maximum permissible time limit for entry/exit from the same station is 20 minutes and for entry/exit from different stations is 2 hours.

Kindly ensure that every entry on your 2-in-1 Card is followed by a valid exit from the DMRC system. In case of mismatch, penalty will be payable as per the Business Rules of DMRC.

19. Can I withdraw Cash from this Credit Card?

You cannot withdraw cash from the Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card. There is no cash limit on this Credit Card.

20. What can I use the A-PIN number sent to me for?
You may use the A-PIN for the following use on the ATM:

a. General query on balance enquiry (Credit Card statement)
b. For changing their A-PIN

Besides this, A-PIN can also be used for queries on the Citibank kiosk machines installed at various locations.


Rewards Redemption

21. What are the number of Reward Points I earn on each transaction?

You earn 2 Reward Points for every Rs. 100 that you spend on your Delhi Metro Citibank Credit Card for loading of the Delhi Metro Chip at Delhi Metro. For transactions at other Merchant Establishments you earn 1 Reward Point for every Rs. 100 spent.

22. What is the minimum number of Reward Points required for redemption?

The minimum number of Reward Points required for redemption is 500.
23. What can I redeem my Reward Points for?

You can redeem your Reward Points at the Metro stations for Free Metro Rides on the Delhi Metro or against a variety of products in the Citibank Rewards Catalogue and at Westside, Shoppers Stop and Landmark outlets on the POS (Point of sale) terminals itself! 24. How do I redeem my Reward Points for free Metro rides?

Your Reward Points can be redeemed for Metro Rides at the same Customer Care Counter at Metro Stations which also assist in Delhi Metro Chip loading. Please refer list of stations specified below:

You would need to know the exact number of Reward Points available in your balance. This information is available on the latest Credit Card statement sent to you. You can also find out your Reward Points balance by sending an SMS to 52484.

To redeem these Reward Points, hand over your Credit Card to the Customer Care officer and inform him the number of points you would like to redeem. The Officer will convert these points into rupees (1 Point = Re. 0.50) and load that value on to your Delhi Metro Chip. The number of points redeemed will appear in your next month's Credit Card statement.

25. How do I redeem my Reward Points against products from the Citibank rewards catalogue?

To redeem your Reward Points against an array of products available through Citibank Silver Credit Card Rewards Catalogue, please call our 24X7 CitiPhone Banking Officer at the numbers provided on the reverse of your Credit Card or log on to our website www.citibank.com/india.

26. How do I redeem my Reward Points on the POS terminals at specific merchant establishments?

Now you can redeem your Reward Points easily at 3 Merchant Establishments, namely, Westside, Shoppers Stop and Landmark outlets across the country.

All you have to do is announce before paying for your purchases that you would like to redeem your Reward Points towards the purchases made. You then need to inform the executive manning the cash counter, of the Reward Points balance that you have on your Card and the number of points you would like to redeem. The executive will then convert your Reward Points into rupees and deduct this amount from your total bill. Your 1 Reward Point is equal to Re. 0.40. If the value of your purchases exceeds the value of Reward Points redeemed by you, you will have to pay the difference. The executive will issue a charge slip with the rewards redemption details for your reference.
